In the Eyes of a Devil

    Feuer Eidechse

The only sounds the air would carry were those of cracking branches and twigs. A dragon marched proudly through the forest, her large size making silence just about impossible under the pine trees. She kept her eyes as small slits, branches always threatening to destroy her sight. Stopping for a moment, the Fury listened carefully to the sounds as they returned slowly, cautiously. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scents of the perspective prey that surrounded her. There were an abundance of birds, but those would not be enough to satisfy her. What she needed was something larger, like a human or a larger predator. Pulling her slightly outstretched wings close to her body, she lowered her large skull. She took in the marks of the trees around her. Another creature had been through.

"Whatever this was it is long gone by now." With a heavy sigh, Feuer began walking along, deep imprints forming on the ground from her paws. Her stomach empty, she tried to move through the pine trees as silently as a dragon could. Her mind wandered slightly, thinking about where she would go to next time she got the chance. Realizing she had been here longer than she would normally like, she thrashed her large tail, the spade-like end slicing a tree. Fueled by anger, she turned and forced the tree down. Although she knew she was not being forced to stay here, she felt like she was trapped. Spitting a small amount of flame at the fallen tree, she turned back and continued on her way.

    Geal Nathair
Geal sat simply at a little stream that ran through the forest on Eaglehead dipping her large skull down, forked tongue flicking out to take a drink of the fresh water. Her white scales seemed to gleam in a hue of many colours as the line shined through in little areas where the foliage would allow. It was almost as if light was attracted to her, as if it loved her. Impossible, though, because it was simply just an element, and elements had no mind, so hence could not show care.

The woman dragon seemed to be lost in her own thoughts as the fury pounded through the forest, probably frightening away any of the prey that may be lingering around -- not that Geal really cared, she was fine with eating the plants of the earth. Blinking twice, her ears flicked a little as she listened to the other dragon in the forest, whom seemed to be making their way, unknowingly, ever neared to where she now stood.

As she continued on her way, the Fury noticed some of the trees were beginning to allow light from the sun to shine through, reaching the ground. Tilting her head up, she permitted herself to smile ever so slightly for a moment before lowering her massive head and walking on. It wasn't long until she could see another dragon between the trunks of the many and seemingly endless trees. She had been drinking. Feuer hadn't known of the river running through, as she never ventured in this direction. The white dragon she was seeing seemed to have heard her coming, as she was looking in her direction already.

Stepping out of the trees and toward the dragon and the river, she nodded her head in recognition as she approached. "Hello." That was all she was willing to say at this point. She didn't want to give the stranger any unnecessary information at this point, such as her name. If Feuer felt the dragon should know, she would tell. All this would happen soon enough, she knew. But for now, she simply lowered her head and lapped up the water from the river, reviving her tired body.

Geal stood there in silence, before she finally dipped her head once again to begin lapping up at the water close to the edge of her claws. The water was soothing for the hot summer weather, as this little steam seemed to be quite calming and cooling on her throat. Her muscles ached from all of her flying, so it was nice being somewhere that was cool. It was calming in a sort, which was something else she hoped for, considering that she was a leader of a clan.

Looking over toward the other dragon, she then said, "I believe we haven't met. I am Geal." She looked over the dragon in silence, sitting back and wrapping her long tail around herself as she waited to see if the dragoness would say anything to her or not. Of course, Geal wouldn't be bothered, but then again Geal didn't know many so it was always a bit nice, too.

    OOC: Sorry this took forever.

Feuer lifted her head as the other dragon spoke. She had wondered how long it would take, and it hadn't been long. Some water dripped from her mouth as she lifted it away from the water. The dragon was now sitting calmly, her tail wrapped. "I'm Feuer. It's... nice to meet you." She paused a moment before she completed that statement. She always found introducing herself awkward.

Not sure what else to do, she huffed out a sigh. The day was boring, and right now she wished to fly. However, she knew that would be rude, to just leave Geal while she pleased herself. She was tired of being on the ground, though, and hoped the meeting would end quickly.
