Feuer Eidechse
The only sounds the air would carry were those of cracking branches and twigs. A dragon marched proudly through the forest, her large size making silence just about impossible under the pine trees. She kept her eyes as small slits, branches always threatening to destroy her sight. Stopping for a moment, the Fury listened carefully to the sounds as they returned slowly, cautiously. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scents of the perspective prey that surrounded her. There were an abundance of birds, but those would not be enough to satisfy her. What she needed was something larger, like a human or a larger predator. Pulling her slightly outstretched wings close to her body, she lowered her large skull. She took in the marks of the trees around her. Another creature had been through.
"Whatever this was it is long gone by now." With a heavy sigh, Feuer began walking along, deep imprints forming on the ground from her paws. Her stomach empty, she tried to move through the pine trees as silently as a dragon could. Her mind wandered slightly, thinking about where she would go to next time she got the chance. Realizing she had been here longer than she would normally like, she thrashed her large tail, the spade-like end slicing a tree. Fueled by anger, she turned and forced the tree down. Although she knew she was not being forced to stay here, she felt like she was trapped. Spitting a small amount of flame at the fallen tree, she turned back and continued on her way.
